Join us on the 19th March for live music from the legendary King Jippo and Guinness all day!
Join us for a fantastic Dia de los Muertos party night, with live music from one of our favourites - SingSong Club. Suave Food Truck will also be with us offering a Mexican themed menu.
We are now open for indoor service. Our kitchen is currently closed (as we have no chef!), but we have a program of pop up street food offers in place. We are no longer taking bookings for drinks only. On days when we have no food offer you are welcome to bring you own food or order takeaway food to eat at the pub. We hope to add new street food offers on Wednesdays and Sundays in the coming weeks. Please check back for updates

Holiday festivals return to The King and Queen this August Bank Holiday after a short hiatus! We’ve got some familiar faces returning to the pub throughout the weekend. On Saturday, we’ll have full band sets from our great friends East Lonesome Drifters, almost certainly the best Honky Tonk band you’ll see this side of the pond (and possibly that side too!). On Sunday, we have two great solo sets from Shane Lamont, playing familiar songs from across the decades. Full of fun, banter and audience participation. Chesham duo, The Weathertop Preachers return on Monday with their brilliant sets of classic American, Country and Alternative rock. We’ll be joined throughout the weekend by Suave Food Truck, serving up some amazing vittles for y’all. All this and, as always, great ales, craft beers, wines and spirits from the bar. No need to be anywhere else..
To celebrate the publication of The Paper Lantern, join us on Sunday July 4th for the inaugural Sunday Social Gathering Book Festival at the King and Queen.
To help launch Will Burns' debut novel, set in a village pub, which eagle-eyed readers may spot bears more than a passing similarity to your own humble local, we have arranged a one-day book festival with author events, poetry readings, a bookstall and a few special bits on the bar too.
Featuring live poetry from Martha Sprackland, a reading from master of the short story Anna Wood, and a Q and A event with Will Burns and fellow Wendover native and award-winning author Jake Arnott.
Events will run from 4-7, with plenty of time afterwards to raise a glass to two.
We’re very pleased to welcome Our Bookshop in Tring to the pub for the day, who will be selling books and they’ve even made an easy pre-order link to buy Will’s book and collect it on the day.
