Moktoba-Fest Weekend 19-20th October
We’ve always wanted to some kind of October Fest, but not been able to work out quite how. So we’ve gone considerably off-piste, but hopefully retaining some of the spirit and having some fun. The marquee will be up in the car-park, set-up with traditional Bierkeller tables and benches. With A range of Craft Beers ever the weekend (probably not German!). We’ll be serving in 2 pint steins for those feeling adventurous. Bratwurst and the like to line your stomach. We couldn’t get an Oompah Band, so we decided to back it all up with a great selection of Kraut Rock! Kind of odd, but then what would you expect!
Live music from the great Bob Dylan covers band The Zimmermen - Great choices of songs and loads of fun..
Join Justine and friends for another great evening of collaborative acoustic music. Bring along your voice, instruments or both. This is an entirely acoustic evening.
Join us for Pete’s 60th Birthday party - with live music provided by King and Queen regulars and one of our very favourite bands East Lonesome Drifters. They return for a special night of honky tonk barroom, classic country, western swing, Bakersfield Sound, Bluegrass and Americana.
There will also be special Mexican street food available!
The King and Queen are excited to present ELF POWER, a very special live event. Hailing from Athens, Georgia, Elf Power is part of the influential Elephant Six Collective, a group of American musicians who spawned many notable independent bands of the 1990s, including the Apples in Stereo, the Olivia Tremor Control, Neutral Milk Hotel, Beulah, Elf Power, of Montreal and more. Entry is free, but space is, as always limited, so don’t be late!
